WHOA – did I walk into this one fully blinded. For the first time ever, I decided to not read a blurb for a book I am reading. THIS was most definitely NOT the book to decide to be brave and do something out of the norm! Twenty percent through the book and my head was spinning as the characters were being introduced (do not take this negatively; keep in mind that I had NO idea what I was getting myself into what-so-ever)!
The things that breaks us eventually make us whole again.
It is not your typical romance; the story focuses on Charleston Smith, the heroine in the story and how she faced life challenges with moving on, after a great loss of her brother to addiction. The story is moving and touching in ways I did not expect. It is about acceptance and growth within the challenges in life she faced and self-discovery in order to find her true happiness.
He needed me in a way that broke his own heart. He loved me in a way that put it back together again. He taught me that you didn’t need to be whole to forgive. You just needed to be brave.
If you are one to refuse to read any books unless it is a HEA, I would not say this is not the book for you… In the same breath I would not say it is for you. It truly is a unique closing.
To be honest, I was holding my breath and was disappointed at the ending (this happens when I am not getting what I wanted to happen ¼ ways through the book). However, after sitting back to absorb it all. It may not be your perfect, but I was able to have my perfect.
