This book was nothing like I expected to say the least. I ended up finishing it in one sitting! In all honesty, I am not even sure how to word my thoughts for Breaking Skin and pin-point exactly what it was about this story that had me sit my butt down from start to finish.

Breaking Skin is a contemporary romance with a dash of suspense that hooks you into the story. If you are big fan of  fate and HEA, this is definitely the story for you. The author’s writing was as beautiful as the book’s cover.

There are certain events in your life that leave an indelible mark. They change you because they write themselves on your soul.

It only takes one moment for someone to imprint themselves into your thoughts and this is exactly what happened to Cole and Nikki. The story was built up perfectly from the moment they first met as a one night fling to bumping into each other unexpectedly two years later.

We make each other stronger. The two of us together could slay dragons if we have to.

The characters are genuine and relatable; even their flaws or choices they made; as a reader got me all riled up, yet in the same moment… I was thinking but it makes it all the more real. There were a few things that threw me back a little… for instance, a specific secondary character (just didn’t mesh well for me personally) but it was not anything major what-so-ever to take away the beautiful writing and story of  the sorrow and struggles these characters face and for them to find their footing in life.

For those contemporary romance lovers, add this to your TBR!

Welcome and enter at your own risk – I type wearing my emotions on my fingertips, so at times it may be inappropriate and offensive to the sensitive souls out there.. consider yourself warned! Please bear with me, if my site keeps changing on you.. I am still in the process of getting it up and running just perfectly for me (which means easier navigation for you). :) One book, one world, one life at a time…
