As we all know, Corinne Michaels is one of my must read author and you will understand why once you read any of her books. At this point I hope you have read at least one of it, if not – just know I am shaking my head at you with a very disappointed look on my face that you will NOT misread for anything positive.
Say You Want Me is a standalone, however I truly recommend you read Say You’ll Stay first. If you choose not to, it will not take anything away from SYWM but just so you know… I fell in love with Wyatt (the hero in Say You Want Me while reading Say You’ll Stay). Fuck it, read the fucking books in order, will ‘ya, cause for the love of cowboys… why the hell not?! After reading SYWM, I am not sure how to describe my feelings for Wyatt – what’s more than love since that was already established in his the first book? Obsessed? If so, I am utterly and completely obsessed with Wyatt Hennington!!
The author has a way with her words whereas I find myself completely absorbed in any of her stories and she did not miss a beat with SYWM. All her stories have always been extremely relatable because it’s so very honest and real. I have always felt a part of it because it’s doesn’t feel made up – know what I mean?
SYWM is not as heavy of a read as SYS, but do not let this author fool you the way she did me. Everything was fine and dandy and she threw a punch I saw coming, yet it hurt just as bad – if not more. It was like watching her fist coming right at you in slow motion but you are tied down and the only hope you have is if she misses. SOBitches, she did not miss! I think it hurts more because I was hoping I was wrong and I wasn’t! Corinne Michaels made me cry – AGAIN!!! I am not a crier when I read, but apparently she somehow made it her mission to make me cry. I am starting to take it personal!
I am not going to talk about the book much for not wanting to spoil anything but I can say, SYWM is a sweet, sexy and emotional read that you all need to add to your TBR or just one-click it already! Wyatt and Angie was a couple I found myself rooting for versus my mentally pushing the leading female character out of the way so I can be the leading lady. BUTTTTT… Just so you know – I am Mrs. Wyatt Hennington so just keep that in mind while you are reading and keep your sleazy, dirty, whorish hands off my man!
Also to just throw it in there, I didn’t think much of Trent (the last of the Hennington boys) but I am most definitely curious now – so please do hurry with that 3rd book!! I am not beneath begging on my knees especially if there’s a cowboy in front of me or in this case, it will be a man in uniform with a southern drawl. Yeehah!
